Total Fencers 16

Attendance was doubled this week from last week. We went from 8 to 16 and that's
with at least four fencers going home before we started for various reasons. It could easily
have been at least 20. But it was a great turnout anyway. We even had a visitor
from Alaska participate. This is his second visit to the club and this time he made
sure he was here on a Sunday to do some Alaskian stabbing. Our little tournament
keeps growing as we collect people from various states and countries being involved.
Before I forget, April 11th, we will celebrate a full year of Stab-N-Grab. We'll
have a BBQ and tons of fencing, food and fun! Let's see how many we can get to show up.

Without further ado, Filip and Michele were the first to fence. Filip with two wins
under his belt was able to beat Michele. John and Taylor followed with Taylor's
deadly countertime bringing her victory. Jack and the Alaskian guest, Hakon, were
next with Jack losing. Frank and Ryan faced each other and both were whinning about
it. It was close, especialy since Frank started two in the whole from his two earlier
victories, but the end result was Frank moved up. Libby and Andrew fought with Libby
moving to the next round. Tony and Greg fought hard with lots of clashing blades in
great pirate style with Greg moving up. Alan and Stephanie followed with Alan easily
moving up. Austin and Alecz finished the first round with Austin moving up.

Round two started with Filip and Taylor. Taylor was not happy about this and fought
hard but dropped to the elegant style of Filip. Hakon and Frank were next with Frank
showing the visitor that he is top dog in his own club. Libby and Greg followed with
Greg moving up. Alan and Austin were the last bout of round two with Alan moving up.

Round three started with Filip and Frank. It was a great battle of club giants, each
with two wins apiece, but today was Frank's turn to be the victor. Greg and Alan
faced off next. Greg gave it a college try and even got the score tied but it was Alan's
day for victory. This means the final was Frank and Alan. Alan was ready, feeling
confident but Frank was equally set on a win. Alan started with a two touch lead but
Frank had his gameface on and took the victory.
