The fourth Stab-N-Grab on Sunday, April 26th was amazing. We had nineteen people
show up, including a gentleman from Great Britain, which means we are now an
international event! Not only was there great fencing but there was even home
cooked food afterwards prepared by Sirley. The event was nicknamed, Stab-Grab-N-Grub.
It seems each week it gets bigger and better. To date we have had 25 individuals
participate in at least one of the events. The event was also historic because
we had our first double winner, Coach Frank. So for the next Stab-N-Grab he will
have a two touch handicap.



There were a lot of by's in the first round because we moved from the 16 person
tableau to the 32 person. There were only three bouts fought the first round. The
outcome of the first round was Jim beat Michele, Lisa beat Ava and Ja beat Alan.
The next round saw Jim move past Jessica. Leona defeat Gehret. and Tony top Libby.
Austin went down to Frank. Lisa overwhelmed Peter (our guest from Great Britain).
Greg, under threat of losing his beer overcame Scott, last week's winner. Sirley
won over Eric. Ja went down to Filip.

The third round of bouts found Jim moving up again against Leona. Frank beat Tony
Lisa dropped to Greg, again under threat of losing his beer supply. Sirley lost
to Filip. Then on to round four where Frank overwhelmed Jim while Filip topped
Greg. The final bout was Frank against Filip, both of which have won the event before.
It was a great bout with Filip losing by only one touch to Frank in overtime. There
was thundering applause for both competitors.

Afterwards fencing continued for a good hour while Sirley prepared food. Peter from
Great Britain fenced all who asked. It was fun to fence someone with a different stlye.
He plans on returning Tuesday for more Red Rock fencing while he is in town for a convention.
