Hello? Where is everyone? We only had eight people show up on Sunday.
Eight is our minimum for the event to count. Frank has four wins and
is seriously working to win the Stab-N-Grab sword. Filip has three
and is looking good for a fourth win. Just to let you know the eight
who showed up had a great time. There was lots of heckling and laughing.
Getting a little exercise and practice on Sundays for about an hour is
easy work.


The event started with Greg and Frank. Greg's sole goal was to take
Frank down. The smack talk was serious before the event. Frank was
up to the event and even took a bet that if he lost he would cut his
hair. Greg, eagar to keep Frank in his place and to see Frank have to
cut his hair was inspired and knocked Frank out in the first round.
Libby and Ken were next. Ken didn't have his heart in the bout and
Libby was able to advance. Eric and Ramzey were next. There were
shouts sounding something like "Beat the Saber fencer" from the crowd.
Eric was able to defeat Ramzey (the saber fencer). Michele and
Stephanie were the the last bout of round one. It was interesting to
watch the two foil fencers fence epee. In the end, Michele with
the greater experience moved up.


Round two started with Greg and Libby with Greg very motivated to
spend some quality time with Pierre Reposte. He was able to live up
to his expectations and took Libby down. Eric and Michele were next
and Eric was able to take the win, even if it was from the end of the
strip where he spends much of his fencing time.


The final bout was Eric and Greg. Another case of David and Goliath since
Greg is soooo much taller than Eric. Eric gave it a good try but Greg
was able to outreach him. Greg won the day and was thrilled to be
reunited with Pierre. Greg had in the past many many weeks claimed
to not care about Pierre and was just there to stop Frank from winning.
Once Pierre was in his arms Greg sang a different tune. On Tuesday
Greg was still excited about his win and wanted to know where the
the write-up was. Sorry for the delay Greg! Congratulations, for the
second win and being reunited with Pierre!
