Stab-N-Grab number fourteen saw another repeat winner, Filip. The main
focus of the event was to keep Frank from winning his fourth time. We
like to think he needs the challenge of starting three down to keep him
sharp. And, well, it's always fun to beat an A-rated fencer. It is rumored
that Frank was hoping it would be a light turnout so he could sneak in a
win when nobody was looking. Better luck next time Frank!


With only ten people the event went pretty quickly. Frank and Jin were
the first bout with Frank squeaking past him. They played it pretty safe
with the score being 4 to 3 in overtime. Next up were Eric and Frank
with Frank continuing his path towards domination. Tank and Greg were
up next. Greg had sworn earlier in the week that he would keep Frank
from winning, however Tank ruined Greg's plans by beating him. Jeff
and Ava faced off next with Jeff moving up. Last in the round Ramsey
fought Filip with Filip topping Ramsey.

Round three started with Frank and Tank fencing. Once again, Frank
continued his march towards victory by defeating Tank. Jeff and Filip
were up next. Filip moved past Jeff. And that takes us to the finals.
Frank and Filip stepped up to the en garde lines and our hopes of
stopping Frank were in Filip's hands. As an added challenge for Filip
he started with a touch against him. So the room was tense as the
crowd, small as it was, cheered Filip on. The end result is that
Filip was able to stop Frank's plans and won his second
Stab-N-Grab victory.

There will be a Stab-N-Grab next week July 26th. Remember to mark your
calendars for August 23rd for the Red Rock Challenge to break our
attendance record! We've had 56 people participate to date and we're
trying to get at least 30 people.
