Stab-N-Grab number fourteen was an eventful event. We had our first female
winner! Yippee! Red Rock Wild Women Rule! The event was run by Frank and
actually started on time. It seems Libby's influence is rubbing off on him.
The event also had two new players and we have reached a total of fifty-six
people participating at least once. Who knew we even had that many epee
fencers, or even saber or foil fencers pretending to be epee fencers! August
23rd could be a gigantic event if everyone who could show up does!
Mark your calendars for August 23rd, we are asking all past participants who
can possibly make it to show up. We want to go for a Red Rock Stab-N-Grab
record. If everyone showed up we'd have over fifty fencers.

With thirteen people there were three byes in the first round. First timer
Tony Choe started his Stab-N-Grab career against Greg. I'm sure Greg was
lusting after Pierre and to keep Frank from winning. Seems both things
inspired him to his victory. Eric, back from Nationals, and Alan U. were
next, with Eric still on his fencing winning streak. Next up, Frank and
Alecz. With Frank starting down three touches, Alecz totally dominated,
leaving Frank in the dust. Philip faced Ken with Ken moving up. Michelle
faced Ava next and the foilist in epee disguise moved up.

Round two began with Jeff and Greg facing off. Greg still in a winning mood
left Jeff behind to move up. Eric and Alecz were next and Alecz moved up.
Filip and Ken were next with Filip passing by Ken to continue towards the
prize. Michelle and Jin Choe, another first timer, were next. Jin was able
to continue his climb upwards.

Round three started with Alecz and Greg. Greg lost in a startling upset.
Alecz continues her wins. Filip then faced Jin and slipped by to make the
finals. Alecz is now in the finals for the second week in a row. Only this
time there is a difference. Alecz wins the tournament and has entered the
Stab-N-Grab history books as the first female winner! Congratulations Alecz.

There will be a Stab-N-Grab next week July 19th.
